Work Experience in performance, costume, stage management...
Volunteer work arranged as needed at Belltable Arts Centre, Daghdha Dance Company, EV+A, Alternative Miss Limerick
and anything interesting that happens around here. Jobs include Performance, PR, Stage Management, Front of House.
Job perks are meeting artists and being part of the show! LYT also refers suitable performers for auditions in theatre, film
and tv as opportunities arise. When their busy careers allow, past members of LYT who go on to study or work in theatre
are hired as professional workers on LYT shows.
Outreach for people too young or too shy to join just yet.
Bringing up the next generation of youth theatre members one street at a time, Outreach Officer Ella Daly has set up two
projects in Moyross; the National Youth Council-funded Vlogging Project with Céim ar Chéim, where local girls are busy
making short films for BEBO pages on their mobile phones with filmmaker Emma Teck; and the Limerick Regeneration
and Irish Youth Foundation-funded Back to School Project with Corpus Christi National School, in which one class are
given weekly drama workshops by Workshop Leader (and past LYT member) Janette Madigan, for a whole school year. The
pupils set and follow their own artistic direction, teaching us how to teach them.
Limerick Youth Theatre is funded by Limerick City VEC and supported by the Belltable Arts Centre
